A Message from Wendy...
What if the kindness of rediscovering you & truly living was just a choice away?
We all have a story of grief, trauma or loss. The difference is that I believe we can use our story to create change in the world or we can use it against ourselves.
Grief is an area that a lot of people don’t like to talk about because it is seen as sad, heavy and so significant in this reality. My point of view about grief is, ‘What if we could see grief from a space of allowance, question, and possibility?' If grief was a gift, what choices could it offer you and what changes could those choices bring?
It may seem crazy to consider that grief can be a gift, especially when mourning the loss of a loved one or recovering from a highly traumatic occurrence. Truly living is not about ignoring, trivialising or dismissing the difficult times in life. It is about having the vulnerability to acknowledge where you are with everything, without making it wrong, nor letting it stop you from moving forward.
As a nurse and carer, I have seen the challenges of grief for the sick and their families. As a daughter, sister and friend, I have lost loved ones to terminal illness. For some, this may seem sad, and yet for me, I have always been grateful for every person who has been in my life. In 2019, my husband died suddenly and unexpectedly as a result of a motorcycle accident. At that time, I chose, more than ever, to walk my talk and receive the gifts of living, even as I grieved. I know what it’s like for your whole life and future to change in an instant. I know what it is like to miss someone. I know the monkey mind and the feelings and emotions that circulate over and over.
I can still experience these at different times and it can still be very raw. Yet I have the tools to be with all of it and go beyond it without losing myself. I am so grateful for all my experiences, for the tools of Access Consciousness® and knowing that I am the source of my life, that I have a choice of how my living each day will be.
Whatever has occurred or is occurring in your life, please know that you are not alone, that there is another possibility. The past does not have to define your present or future. The kindness of rediscovering you and truly living is just a choice away – and you can choose it.
